Browse All : "Man identified as Rev. Shepperd is standing on front step. A minister by the name of H.E. Shepherd was the Methodist minister in Basin from April 1908 until the summer of 1911. It is assumed these two spellings refer to the same man. The building is identified as the Methodist Church in Basin on the negative, but through research in the subject file under Churches (print #9942) and the Annals of Wyoming v24 no 2 p73 it has been identified as the Baptist Church in Basin. The Baptist Church was organized in Basin by Rev John L. Limes December 18, 1897. The building was started in the spring of 1899. Frank Brigham was the contractor and received $50 for his work (Annals v24 no 2 p86)" -- note on negative sleeve
